Barrow Remembers

5th November 2018

To commemorate the end of the First World War in November 1918, the Parish Council has introduced a scheme called 'Barrow Remembers' which will provide an opportunity for the village to remember each soldier who died during the First World War. Although most of the graves are in France and Belgium, seven of the graves are in Barrow upon Soar Cemetery on Cotes Road.

On Friday 2nd November 2018 the Parish Council held a small service in the Cemetery Chapel.  Mrs Bartram and Mr Cross along with a number of our students were delighted to attend the service and laid wreaths on each of the seven graves.  A special thank you to our Year 10 student, Jack Browne for playing the The Last Post during the service.
