Humphreys Bake Off

26th September 2018

The Staff Wellbeing Baton landed in the Maths Department at the beginning of the Autumn Term.  The department decided to host a Humphreys Great British Bake Off Competition, open to all staff and their families.  The challenge was to bake either a two tier cake or 12 cup cakes to be judged by our Chair of Governors, Mr Chatburn and ex-staff members Mr Mac and Mrs Trasler.  The judges convened on Monday 17th September to taste test all 18 entries ranging from fresh cream and fruit cakes to sheep themed cup cakes.  The judges had a tough task but eventually decided on a winner for each category.

Congratulations to Mrs Smith who won the 'Two Tier Category' and Miss Judge for winning the '12 Cup Cakes Category'.  The cakes were sold to staff the following day raising money towards MacMillan Cancer Support.

Thank you to all the staff and their families who took part and to the Maths department for organising such a fun event.

The Staff Wellbeing Baton has been passed to the Holistic Department, we can't wait to hear about our next challenge!
