Prize Giving 2016

On Wednesday 30th November we welcomed our Year 11 leavers back to school for an evening of celebration.

The evening began with an informal reception in the school restaurant for former pupils, proud parents, staff, governors and guests.

Mr Peter Nutkins, Headmaster then began the formal ceremony by thanking pupils for their incredible hard work and achievement to produce such impressive GCSE results. Parents and staff were also thanked for their dedication and support.

We were delighted to host Sir Alan Massey KCB CBE as our guest speaker.  Sir Alan was in the Royal Navy, where he was Second Sea Lord and Commander-in-Chief, Naval Home Command, in the rank of Vice Admiral.  Sir Alan entertained and inspired a packed hall with his unique life story detailing his early life at school through to tales of life commanding a battleship in Iraq.

Senior pupils then delivered the vote of thanks and gift presentations.
