Open Evening

6th September 2016

Open Evening Wednesday 21 September 2016

5pm-7.30pm

Presentations from the Headmaster at 5.30pm and 6.15pm

We look forward to welcoming families of Year 5 and 6 children to our annual Open Evening. In addition to visiting our broad range of subject areas, within our departments, there will be many other displays where you can find out more about our school.

At Humphrey Perkins School we provide a high quality academic education, take a close interest in each individual and provide an extensive and challenging array of extra-curricular activity. Our educational philosophy is based around eight areas of learning for all pupils. We fully embrace traditional standards of behaviour and dress with the emphasis on the pursuit of excellence in a warm and caring but disciplined community. Innovation sits alongside tried and trusted teaching techniques to ensure that all pupils have the opportunity to over-perform.

Message from Peter Nutkins - Headmaster

Good schools go beyond a commitment to academic excellence; they aim to educate the whole person.  At Humphrey Perkins School we endorse that aim in the knowledge that if we provide a high quality academic education, take a close interest in each individual, and provide an extensive and challenging array of extra-curricular activity to appeal to all tastes then we will produce well rounded pupils able and keen to fulfil their potential in all aspects of life.

We aim to stimulate, motivate and cultivate intellectual curiosity, and develop our pupils’ awareness and understanding, as well as leadership and communication skills. We encourage and expect high standards of behaviour and presentation, and nurture strong character values.  If you feel that your child would perform best in an environment that sparks the imagination, and brings the best out of each individual pupil according to his or her ambition, aspirations, ability, interests and learning styles then we look forward to seeing you at our Open Evening.
