War Horse Trip

12th February 2016

On Thursday 11 of February 2016 a group of Year 8 pupils set off to London on a Drama Trip to see the sell out, and now world famous National Theatre production of War Horse. One of the themes in the Year 8 scheme is WW1 and many performance skills are taught by exploring trench life during the Great War. War Horse was a fabulous example of some of these techniques in use on a real stage. Still images, slow motion movement puppetry, split scenes and more. If you get the chance to see it then it's a must!

Some comments from our happy pupils -

"Oh my goodness miss it was amazing!!!!"

"I thought we were going to get shelled too!"

" The horses seemed sooooo realistic they were just fabulous"
