Report from Mrs Sharpe - Lucy's Mum

Lucy was swimming in Manchester this weekend at the National Para Swimming Championships. She had to be up at 5.30am on Saturday (getting back to the Hotel at 6.30pm) and had a lie in until 6am on Sunday! (Arriving home at 9pm last night!)

Despite the very long days she had an amazing time. She got to meet some very talented current Paralympic athletes and some future ones.

Lucy was able to secure medal placements in all 6 of her events (3 Silver and 3 Bronze).

The highlight of the weekend was racing in the some of the same heats as Ellie Simmonds. One of which was 200IM. Lucy was 1st for the majority of the heat until Ellie passed her on the final 50m. What made this so memorable was that Ellie gained a PB and broke the world record!
She later sent thanks to Lucy for giving her a good race to enable her to do this!

Huge congratulations go to Lucy - we are very proud of her achievements!
