Introduction

Your child deserves the very best to be a success at every stage of their life. That success may be judged as being a great business leader, a wonderful parent, having loving and fulfilling relationships, sporting achievements, creativity and self confidence to name a few.  However they grow and develop they will have done so in an increasingly challenging world. It is a different world than we grew up in, and will be a different world again when their children are school age.

Our ambition is to help guide and facilitate your child’s exploration of this ever-changing world. We are determined that your child should have no ceiling to their achievement.  At Humphreys we aim to educate ‘the whole child’ so that they can be that success. Providing a firm foundation on which they can build their triumphs.

From ages 11 to 16 your child is at a crucial period of personal, social, physical and intellectual development. A time of uncertainty and of questioning. The education at Humphreys is designed to help them find a sense of belonging in the ever-changing and increasingly interrelated world around them and to foster a positive attitude to learning.

Pupils will achieve high academic standards at our school through the broad, balanced and challenging learning experiences we offer and they will always be encouraged to enjoy learning for its own sake.  In most subjects, pupils learn in increasingly focused set ability groups.  Progress is monitored regularly and pupils move between sets where appropriate.
